Chile – Marina del Sol granted licence extension for casino in Talcahuano

The Chilean Gaming Board (SJC) has issued a certificate that authorizes Marina del Sol S.A to continue to operate the Talcahuano casino for an additional period of 15 years.
The extension of the authorization not only ensures job continuity for more than 600 employees but also guarantees, for the next 15 years, the monthly fee and taxes to the municipality and the regional council of the Bío Bío Region.
The Bío Bío Region is one of Chile’s sixteen regions. With a population of 1.5 million it is the third most populated region in Chile. Talcahuano is a port city and has around 250,000 inhabitants. Marina del Sol operates also casinos in the cities of Calama, Chillán and Osorno.
Marina del Sol will build a new restaurant called the Restaurant Safari as part of its facilities. The casino is one of the largest in Chile.
The president of the board of directors, Paula Rojas Puga, expressed her satisfaction with the news and highlighted the company’s continued commitment to the development and well-being of the community.
“This extension allows us not only to maintain our work commitments, but also to continue contributing significantly to the progress of the Bío Bío Region,” she said.
