Tirana casino to open in a few months
The soon-to-open Barrière casino in Tirana, Albania, has just announced who will be in charge as its director with Cyril Lecherf, who has been with the group for 18 years, to lead the venue.
Lecherf spent five years in Courrendlin, two years in Montreux, and 18 months in Fribourg.
Barrièresaid: “This strategic project marks a new step in Barrière group’s international development. Cyril Lecherf will oversee the opening and management, while rolling out our standards in close collaboration with local partners.”
He will also need to oversee the project delivery and coordinate the completion of the work and equipment with the Albanian owners. He will build, train, and organise the casino teams, representing the company with Albanian authorities, institutions, and local stakeholders. Finally, Lecherf will ensure that the procedures in place within the Barrière group are followed and that Albanian gaming regulations are respected, and he will define and implement the casino’s business strategy.
“After 18 years in Switzerland at the three Barrière casinos, it’s time for me to take on a new challenge. I’m leaving amazing teams, colleagues who have made this experience a part of my life that will remain unforgettable. It’s time for me to seize a unique opportunity. I’m thrilled to announce my appointment as CEO and director of the future Casino Barrière Tirana. Thanks to the Barrière group, Grégory Rabuel, Clément Martin Saint Léon, and Charlotte Gauvin for their renewed trust. I also wish Stéphane Hourcastagnou full and complete success,” said Lecherf.
