Clark County Zoning Commission approves project opposite Mandalay Bay

A heart-shaped casino hotel planned for land opposite Mandalay Bay on the Las Vegas Strip has received approval from the Clark County Zoning Commission.

The heart-shaped resort, which would replace the skeleton of SkyVue in Paradise, is the brainchild of Kulik River Capital, owned by real estate developer Eli Applebaum. Tempo Ventures is the developer, whilst Steelman Partners has designed the 29-story resort’s appearance. It will reach a height of 317 feet and offer 752 rooms.

Kulik River Capital bought the wasteland that has been abandoned for over a decade for $70m in April. Whether the project will see the light of day remains to be seen.
