€100m investment includes 80 tables in sensational venue
French operator Groupe Partouche has now opened its brand-new, €100m gaming club in Paris: Partouche Casino Club, located just a few steps from the Arc de Triomphe on Avenue de la Grande Armée.
The venue covers 8,500 sqm across seven floors, with 5,000 sqm entirely dedicated to gaming with 80 poker tables, eight Blackjack tables, six Ultimate Poker tables, four tables of Punto Banco, two Stud Poker tables, two 3 Card Poker tables and one Craps table. It boasts a spectacular central atrium adorned with LED screens with restaurants and bars on every floor. The first three floors are dedicated to gaming, with 53 nine-player tables for poker tournaments and 35 tables. The fourth floor is reserved for VIPs and the fifth houses the group’s new headquarters.
The club, which employs 250 people, offers a premium experience focused on table games and poker tournaments, in collaboration with Texapoker Events, one of the leading names in live poker. Upcoming events include the Unibet Open from May 16 to 25, with the WSOP Circuit to be held in September.
Chairman of Partouche’s supervisory board Patrick Partouche said to Journal des Casinos: “This is a project that has taken 50 years, plus two and a half, to come to fruition. It is the culmination of a family’s work and a passion. One might think it’s a crowning achievement for the Partouche Group, but I prefer to think of it as a new beginning. Long live the Partouche Casino Club.”
Partouche Chief Executive Fabrice Paire added: “This club project has been a journey fraught with obstacles. Fortunately, we were able to count on loyal and dedicated partners who enabled us to bring this project to completion. I would like to thank them all. We presented this project to Isidore Partouche, and we hope he is proud of its realisation. We approach this project with great enthusiasm, but also with humility. We are creating something that doesn’t yet exist in Paris: a place that combines the pleasure of gaming, quality of service, and operational excellence, all within a completely redesigned setting,” he explained.
Maurice Schulmann, Chief Officer of Transformation, Technology, Data & AI at Partouche, said: “Eighteen months ago, this was 8,000 m² of raw concrete, not a table, not a chair, not a light. Today, it is a place like no other in Europe. The launch party was exceptional. It offers poker offer like Paris has never known before, a quality Italian restaurant with snacks on all floors and spaces designed so that each floor has its own identity. Casino Director Giovanni Bulzomi said: “I am very moved, because the opening of the Partouche Casino Club is the culmination of a major project for the group. It required months of work, and the result lives up to our expectations: exceptional. Given the investment made by the group, it is clear that the Partouche Casino Club aspires to be a French, European, and even global leader in terms of high-end gaming and experience.”
The casino is aiming to generate gross gaming revenue of over €30m annually. Casinos have been prohibited within a 100km radius of Paris since 1919, with the only exception made in 1931 for the spa town of Enghien-les-Bains. However, in 2017, new gambling legislation allowed for Parisian gaming clubs without slots to be established as a pilot scheme.
