Play’n GO launches character-led Gnaw’n Gold
Gnaw’n Gold chews through chaos in woodland rivalry
Play’n GO has launched Gnaw’n Gold, a character-led release set in a lively woodland where mischief, rivalry, and hidden riches shape a playful contest between unlikely foes.
Deep in a colourful forest, Gnaw’n Gold follows Barry Beaver, a mischievous troublemaker with a knack for causing chaos, as his long-standing antics are disrupted by the arrival of Tim Bear – a lumberjack with his own plans for the land. Their clash sets the tone for a light-hearted narrative driven by humour, personality, and a tug-of-war over the forest’s prized Golden Logs. The result is a vibrant setting that blends cartoon charm with a competitive edge.
Play’n GO leans into expressive character design and animated storytelling to bring this woodland feud to life. Barry’s playful defiance contrasts with Tim’s determined presence, creating a dynamic that unfolds through visual cues and evolving moments. The game’s tone remains upbeat throughout, using exaggerated interactions and environmental details to reinforce its sense of fun while keeping the focus on the characters’ ongoing struggle.
This release draws inspiration from classic character-driven slots, pairing familiar comedic archetypes with a fresh setting. Fans of playful, narrative-rich titles will recognise the influence of earlier light-hearted games while appreciating the distinct personalities at the centre of Gnaw’n Gold. The woodland backdrop provides a natural stage for conflict and comedy, offering a setting that feels both accessible and full of charm.
Magnus Wallentin, Games Ambassador at Play’n GO, said: “Gnaw’n Gold is all about character interplay. Barry and Tim bring a sense of humour and rivalry that feels immediate and engaging, and that dynamic shapes the entire experience in a way players will instantly understand.”
With its bold visual identity and character-first approach, Gnaw’n Gold delivers a lively tale of woodland mischief where persistence, personality, and a hint of chaos define the action.
From the moment the Base Game begins, Barry’s woodland hunt is already in motion thanks to the Persistent Trail, which gradually unlocks new Collectors as the trail advances. These unlocked Collectors do not replace the earlier ones, but instead add even more ways for the forest frenzy to grow. Persistent Trail The Persistent Trail is active during the Base Game, and the first Collector is unlocked from the start. Each time a Collector lands on the reels, the trail advances by one segment.
Move far enough along it, and new Collector types are permanently unlocked, opening the door to five different Instant Prize Collectors in total, each with its own function. Beaver Spins Land three Scatter Symbols to trigger Beaver Spins. This feature begins with 10 Spins, and all Collectors unlocked in the Base Game can appear during the round. Scatters do not appear here, but landing three Collectors during Beaver Spins moves the feature up a level. Each new level adds five more Spins and upgrades the Multiplier, giving Barry even more room to cause trouble.
Mega Beaver Spins Once the Persistent Trail has been completed in the Base Game, Mega Beaver Spins can enter the picture. This feature is triggered by landing two Scatter Symbols and the Mega Beaver Spins symbol. It starts with five Spins, and only Instant Prizes and Collectors appear during the round. Each spin guarantees a Collector, and across the feature all five Collectors will appear, though the order is random.
