SkyCity turns to former Aristocrat Gaming, SG Digital and NYX Gaming exec for CEO role

New Zealand casino group SkyCity Entertainment has confirmed the appointment of Jason Walbridge as its new chief executive.
He has previously worked at Aristocrat Leisure for 18 years, as Chief operating officer for the SG Digital division of Scientific Games, COO at NYX Gaming Group and as a strategic advisor at Bridge Gaming.
Set to start in July, he replaces Michael Ahearne, who left the company last month.
Mr. Walbridge said: “It will be a privilege to lead SkyCity. I am excited to be joining the business at this time as SkyCity looks to pursue the many opportunities ahead of it.”
SkyCity chair Julian Cook added: “We are looking forward to the valuable contribution Jason will make to the business. Jason has extensive global experience in the land-based and online gaming industries, which will position him well to lead SkyCity through its next phases.”
