US – Choctaw Landing opening in Spring 2024 with 600 slots and 100 hotel rooms

Choctaw Landing, a US$165m casino hotel and entertainment resort under construction in Hochatown, Oklahoma is due to open in the Spring.
The 200,000-square-foot complex will include a casino with 600 slot machines and eight table games, a 100-room hotel, and an outdoor entertainment venue with an amphitheatre, beer garden and a family arcade.
Last June, the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma announced the official name for its entertainment and resort development in Hochatown, Oklahoma, As Choctaw Landing, the Choctaw’s newest gaming property has been built in southeastern Oklahoma near popular vacation destinations Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend State Park.
“We are excited to get started on bringing to life what promises to be an amazing entertainment destination for Oklahomans and our friends and neighbours in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana,” said Janie Dillard, Senior Executive Officer for Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. “In addition to the gaming, hotel and entertainment amenities, we plan to offer our guests an opportunity to learn more about our history, our culture and what it means to be Choctaw.”
Choctaw Landing guests can stay at the new hotel featuring 100 rooms and a pool. Entertainment includes an outdoor amphitheatre, a beer garden and a family gaming zone. Nearby will be a small market and fuel station. Hochatown has been growing as a tourist destination. Weekend visitors have reached totals between 30,000 and 50,000 people making it a key reason why the town was selected as the location for Choctaw Landing.
“Choctaw Landing is an all-in-one exclusive resort destination, and the perfect place to unwind,” said Amy Davis, Choctaw Landing general manager. “We are located just an hour north of the Oklahoma/Texas border and excited to open this new entertainment destination for Oklahomans and our friends and neighbors in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana.”
The Choctaw casino in Hochatown will be the ninth casino owned by the tribe. The Choctaw currently operate casinos in Broken Bow, Durant, Grant, Idabel, McAlester, Pocola, Stigler and Stringtown. In addition, the tribe owns several travel plazas with slot machines.
Choctaw Landing needs 400 new employees. There are current job opportunities in food and beverage services, facility maintenance, gaming, hospitality and guest services, retail operations, and other areas.
The Choctaw Nation is the third-largest Indian Nation in the United States with more than 225,000 tribal members and 12,000-plus associates. This ancient people has an oral tradition dating back over 13,000 years. The first tribe over the Trail of Tears, its historic reservation boundaries are in the southeast corner of Oklahoma, covering 10,923 square miles. The Choctaw Nation’s vision, “Living out the Chahta Spirit of faith, family and culture,” is evident as it continues to focus on providing opportunities for growth and prosperity.
