According to official data from the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC), compiled with information from the Ministry of Economy and the Gaming Control Board, the gambling sector registered a year-on-year growth of 15% compared to the US$2.555 billion obtained in 2024. Gaming revenues reached almost $3 billion in 2025.

Market growth was marked by the expansion of online gaming, which has consolidated its position as the fastest-growing segment. Last year online gaming registered a gross volume of US$587.8 million, representing a year-on-year growth of 82.3%, making it the fastest-growing vertical within the sector.

Despite the strong advance of online gambling, the main driver in absolute terms continues to be “A” type slot machines , which generated US$2.147 billion in gross revenue with a growth of 5.2% compared to 2024.

The INEC report details the performance by segment:

Gaming tables: US$ 146.8 million (+15.4%) Racetracks: US$ 29 million (-6%) Sports betting halls: US$ 17.9 million (-11%) Bingo halls: US$ 6.4 million (+4.4%)

When it came to the sector’s net income, the report indicates that it reached $375.5 million in 2025 , representing a moderate increase of 1.6% compared to the previous year.

Net income for Class A slots stood at US$296.6 million (-2.1%) Online gaming: US$33.8 million (+53.6%) Table games: US$31.1 million (+8.7%) Racetracks: US$7.3 million (-5.6%) Sports betting: US$4.8 million (-10.9%) Bingo: US$1.07 million (+10.8%)

With gross revenues approaching US$3 billion, the gaming industry is consolidating its position as one of the service sectors with the highest transaction volume in the country.

Panama has 102 authorized halls: 22 full casinos, 31 slot-machine venues, 45 sports-betting rooms, 3 bingo halls, and 1 racetrack. An emerging segment is instant-win games, which reached $3.4 million in 2025. In addition to “A” type machines, the country has “C” type slot machines , which operate in smaller premises and only allow one play per coin or bet, unlike the multiple combinations of “A” type machines.
