Sands celebrated the resort’s 10th anniversary with 130 family members from the community and Sands Cares Ambassadors

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Parisian Macao, Sands China hosted The Parisian Macao 10th Anniversary Community Fun Day on September 5, welcoming 130 participants, including family members from local social service organisations and Sands Cares Ambassadors, to share in the milestone celebration and enjoy a tour of The Parisian Macao together.

Filled with joy and laughter, families enjoyed themed interactive experiences and performances, sharing the milestone celebration with Sands China. The initiative reflects the Sands Cares spirit of caring for Macao and serving the community.

Themed around ‘Interstellar Stroll with Le Petit Prince,’ a special 10th anniversary offering by The Parisian Macao, the event guided families from across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from the General Union of Neighbor Association of Macao Guangdong Office, Sheng Kung Hui Macau Social Services Coordination Office and Macao New Chinese Youth Association on a classic and wondrous parent-child exploration journey through themed installations and interactive experiences, whilst showcasing The Parisian Macao’s decade-long commitment to enriching its non-gaming offerings and supporting the diversified development of Macao’s tourism industry through continuous innovation.

As one of Macao’s most popular tourism landmarks, The Parisian Macao features an iconic Eiffel Tower built as half the scale of the original in France, seamlessly weaving French elegance and romance into the Macao skyline to create a beloved city fixture for both visitors and residents. Accompanied by Sands Cares Ambassadors, participants navigated through Le Petit Prince installations set up across the resort, exploring story scenes and taking photos. Many children eagerly searched for different characters and planetary elements, embarking on an imaginative journey filled with joy alongside their parents. The families then ascended to the Eiffel Tower observation deck on level 37, where many of the children enjoyed their first-ever bird’s-eye view of the Cotai Strip. Their excitement was evident as they took in the spectacular panorama from above.

The participating families later enjoyed delicate desserts at Le Buffet and engaged in various interactive experiences, including hand-cranked music boxes, magic shows, and ballon art. In addition, Sands China specially presented the participating children with a limited-edition “The Parisian Macao 10th Anniversary x Le Petit Prince” tote bag, as well as a special-edition “Sands Lifestyle x Le Petit Prince” limited blind box as souvenirs, adding more joy and surprises for them. The tour was filled with laughter as parents and children spent precious time together in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, leaving wonderful memories while further promoting community exchange and passing on the positive energy of care and inclusion.

Dr. Wilfred Wong, executive vice chairman of Sands China, said: “The 10-year history of The Parisian Macao has not only witnessed the pivotal milestone of Macao’s tourism and leisure sector transitioning toward high-quality development, but also bears the precious footprints of Sands China’s shared journey with the local community. In the spirit of Sands Cares, we have continually organised a range of community activities using the iconic facilities and resources of The Parisian Macao, with the aim of sharing the fruits of our development with Macao residents.

“As The Parisian Macao celebrates its 10th anniversary, we hosted this Community Fun Day event to share our joy and achievements with the local community and extend heartfelt gratitude to our community partners for their long-standing support. The remarkable 10-year journey of The Parisian Macao is owed to the support and trust from the Central People’s Government, the Macao SAR Government, and all sectors of society. Moving forward, Sands China will continue to perform its corporate social responsibility by leveraging its resources to support and serve the community. The company will also work hand in hand with all sectors of society to propel the appropriate economic diversification of Macao, consistently enrich Macao as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure, and contribute to its long‑term development as a city that embraces diversity and inclusion.”

Over the years, Sands China has organised a wide range of community and charitable projects using the diverse facilities of The Parisian Macao. In 2018, the company invited international football superstar David Beckham to join Macau Special Olympics athletes atop The Parisian Macao’s Eiffel Tower, showing support and encouragement to them with the sporting icon’s presence while spreading the message of equality and inclusion to the general public. In 2019, the company organised large‑scale charity events such as the Light the Night Run and the Pink Inspired campaign Pink Eiffel Tower Run, leveraging the influential and iconic landmark of The Parisian Macao to raise public awareness of and support for charitable causes. In the same year, the company launched the two-day Sands Dream Explorer activity, inviting 20 families to enjoy quality parent-child time through a range of engaging activities, including visits to the Eiffel Tower at The Parisian Macao and Qube Kingdom. The programme fully embodied The Parisian Macao’s commitment to growing alongside the community and sharing the fruits of its development.

Moreover, Sands China has consistently cared for the needs of different populations by hosting various community activities at The Parisian Macao, including Workplace Inclusion Navigation Day, parent‑child cooking classes for children with autism, Mid‑Autumn Festival celebrations for the elderly, and lighting up the Eiffel Tower in blue to support the World Autism Awareness Day. Through these initiatives, Sands China seeks to promote community inclusion and give more people opportunities to enjoy its rich array of integrated tourism and leisure experiences, putting the company’s corporate social responsibility into practice to build a harmonious, inclusive and vibrant Macao together with the community.

Throughout its 20 years of development in Macao, Sands China has been dedicated to supporting the community and sharing the fruits of its success. Through its Sands Cares programme, the company has implemented a diverse range of community-focused initiatives and worked closely with charitable and social service organisations to contribute towards a more vibrant, harmonious and inclusive Macao.
