HyperCon 2026 will take place in Colombo on August 1 and 2, bringing together Sri Lanka’s gaming, esports and digital entertainment communities for what organisers expect to be one of the country’s largest events of its kind.
Organised by NXL Entertainment in partnership with TRIOSLK, the two-day convention will be held across the Royal MAS Arena and the Royal College Union Skills Centre in Colombo 7. The event is expected to attract more than 4,000 visitors, with online broadcasts and digital content projected to reach an audience of over 100,000.
The event programme will centre on esports competitions featuring PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Free Fire and e-Chess, with professional tournament management, live commentary and prize pools. Alongside competitive gaming, HyperCon will include cosplay competitions, live music performances, DJ sets, audience activities and technology showcases.
A dedicated brand exhibition area will provide sponsors and technology companies with opportunities to demonstrate new products and engage directly with attendees, while panel discussions, networking sessions and community events are also planned throughout the weekend.
Organisers said HyperCon is intended to establish itself as Sri Lanka’s flagship gaming convention while supporting the continued development of the country’s esports and digital entertainment sectors. The event also aims to strengthen connections between players, content creators, technology companies and the wider gaming community as Sri Lanka’s esports market continues to expand.
