IZI Group has reported turnover of €1.172bn for the financial year ended 30 June 2026, an increase of 27.4 per cent year-on-year, as the Malta-based gaming group passed €1bn in annual turnover for the first time.

Player winnings increased 28.4 per cent to €1.060bn, while Gross Gaming Revenue rose 18.3 per cent to €110.9m. EBITDA climbed 29.1 per cent to €37.3m, with operating profit increasing 63.8 per cent to €19.4m and profit before tax approximately doubling to €14.4m.

The Group said the improved performance was driven principally by growth at National Lottery plc, supported by continued performance across its casino and interactive gaming businesses. IZI Group operates Malta’s National Lottery concession and Dragonara Casino alongside its interactive gaming portfolio.

Its EBITDA margin on GGR increased from 30.8 per cent to 33.7 per cent, while net cash generated from operating activities rose approximately 40 per cent to €39.7m. Cash and cash equivalents stood at €44.3m at the end of June, with working capital recording a €24.3m surplus.

IZI Group contributed €41.8m during the year through concession fees and gaming taxes paid to the Government of Malta, alongside contributions to the Social Causes Fund, Responsible Gaming Foundation and sponsorships. The total represented 37.7 per cent of GGR.

During FY2026, IZI Finance also completed the issuance of €30m in 5.5 per cent unsecured bonds due in 2036, which the Group said would provide additional financial flexibility for its investment programme and future growth.

Johann Schembri, Founder and Group CEO of IZI Group, said: “FY2026 marks another important milestone in the growth path of IZI Group. For the first time, we have surpassed €1 billion in both turnover and player winnings, while delivering significant growth in GGR, EBITDA, profitability and operating cash generation.

“These results exceed all our targets and reflect the continued strength of our core businesses, the investments we have made in our people, technology, products and distribution capabilities, and the disciplined execution of our strategy.”

With its major investment programme across its Malta operations substantially completed, IZI Group said its next phase will focus on product innovation, expansion of its distribution network, enhancements to its digital offering and operational efficiency.

The Group also plans to progressively pursue targeted international opportunities in markets with high barriers to entry.
