Winners to qualify for the European Dealer Championship
The German Dealer Championship 2026 will take place from April 28 to 30, pitching Germany’s best dealers to compete against each other at Spielbank Berlin on Potsdamer Platz with the goal of qualifying for the European Dealer Championship.
Since its premiere in 2023, the Championship has established itself as a fixed date in the industry calendar. After stops in Schenefeld, Baden-Baden and Bad Wiessee, the competition will be held in Berlin for the first time and will bring together experts from the entire German casino industry.
The focus is on a job description that is often underestimated. Dealers are much more than game masters: they combine technical skills with social skills and keep track of things at all times, even in complex game situations.
Mehmet Celikoglu, Managing Director of Spielbank Berlin, said: “A good dealer is an entertainer, host and game master at the same time. It stands for precision and style – and makes a decisive contribution to ensuring that a visit to the casino is remembered.”
In the competition, participants compete in the disciplines of American Roulette and Black Jack. In addition to technical skills, appearance, game control and dealing with guests are also evaluated. The program is supplemented by side events that focus on specific skills such as chip handling, card dealing or mathematical calculations.
In this way, the Championship reflects real everyday working life: an interplay of concentration, speed and communication.
The event will start on April 28 with kick-off and networking, followed by the competitions on April 29. On 30 April, the final will decide who will win the title and represent Germany at European level. At the same time, the German Dealer Championship sees itself as a platform for exchange and networking within the industry.
By hosting the championship, Spielbank Berlin underlines its role as a central meeting place for the industry. At the same time, the event sets an example for the professionalization of a profession that contributes significantly to the experience in the casino.
