Nevada casinos post eighth-highest month ever in July as GGR hits $1.38bn

Table gaming was up by 24 per cent in July

A huge surge in table gaming boosted Nevada’s casino revenue in July to the state’s eighth best-ever total and the best table gamng month of the year so far.

Nevada’s 453 casinos generated $1.4bn in July, up 2.1 per cent from July 2025, with the Las Vegas Strip increasing by 3.6 per cent to $776.3m. Table gaming increased by 24 per cent year-on-year, with baccarat up 43 per cent. Slot revenue was up by nearly five per cent.

Revenues in Downtown Las Vegas casinos were down 8.6 per cent to $68.5m, the Boulder Strip was off 2.5 per cent to $82.7m, and outlying Clark County, which includes portions of Henderson and southwest Las Vegas, fell 1.2 per cent to $164m.

The biggest revenue gain was in Elko, up 13.5 per cent, whilst the biggest fall in revenue was felt in North Lake Tahoe, down 5.7 per cent to $2.9m. Sparks saw an increase of 9.5 per cent to $17.2m, whilst Washoe increased by 11.8 per cent to $8.8m.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority reported a 2.7 per cent increase in visitation compared to last year, reaching 3.2m, despite convention attendance falling by 5.6 per cent to 262,700 for the month.

Daniel Politzer of J.P. Morgan said: “Slot handle was up 4.8 per cent year over year (reaccelerating from June’s 1 per cent), while table drop was up by an impressive 24 per cent year over year, reflecting baccarat volumes up 43 per cent year over year (ex-baccarat, table volumes were 15 per cent year over year). We note July table drop was the highest of 2026, likely driven by a strong entertainment calendar; historically, July was among the seasonally softest months for table drop.”

Barry Jonas, an analyst with Truist Securities, added: “The month did have an extra weekend from a calendar perspective, which flips in August (minus one day). We continue to believe in our Strip recovery thesis, though we expect some choppiness in the near term.”
