Spielbank Berlin turns five on Kurfürstendamm, one of Berlin’s most famed streets
Five years after its opening, the Spielbank Berlin on Ku’damm is an established part of City West
Spielbank Berlin is celebrating its fifth anniversary at Ku’damm 31, in the middle of Kurfürstendamm, one of the most famous avenues in Berlin.
Boasting designer shops such as Versace, Prada and Gucci, along with hotels, restaurants and car showrooms, the tree-lined, the avenue has also housed a casino since 2021, with the location on the corner of Uhlandstraße in City West firmly establishing itself as a meeting place for casino guests from Berlin, Germany and abroad.
The former BMW building has been converted with a sense of space and atmosphere. Today, the location combines modern design, capital city flair and the special location on Kurfürstendamm. On two levels and more than 1,000 square meters, the Spielbank Berlin on Ku’damm offers a high-quality ambience. The lounge in the rotunda on the first floor in particular characterises the character of the building – with a view of one of Berlin’s best-known urban spaces.
The venue offers 250 varied slot machines spread across two floors, including live tables and poker tables on the top floor. The casino also boasts a large poker area with daily tournaments.
On the occasion of the anniversary, guests celebrated with a traditional tombola, attractive prizes and a birthday cake. The celebration showed what makes the location special: hospitality, reliability and the mixture of Berlin audience and international flair.
Gerhard Wilhelm, spokesman for the management of Spielbank Berlin, said: “The Ku’damm is a special address in Berlin. We are pleased that our house has been accepted here for five years, by regular guests as well as visitors to the city. Our goal is to be a reliable part of this urban environment.”
Site manager Guido Blessin added: “The Ku’damm thrives on movement, encounters and a very special atmosphere. For many guests, our house has become a fixed point of contact.”
In addition to its location, Spielbank Berlin is committed to sports, culture and social events in the capital. Berlin sports clubs, cultural events and traditional formats of public life are supported. The Christmas lights on Kurfürstendamm are also one of the visible signs of this commitment.
Five years after its opening, the Spielbank Berlin on Ku’damm is an established part of City West. It strengthens the frequency on the boulevard, appeals to Berliners as well as tourists and shows how a modern location can combine urban life and social responsibility.
