Casino de Monte-Carlo has continued its recent run of success on the European stage after two of its gaming employees collected multiple honours at the 2026 European Dealer Championship, held in Baden-Baden, Germany.
Representing Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM), Manon Martire finished third in the overall championship standings, while Christopher Elena claimed five individual awards across both technical and side event competitions.
The annual European Dealer Championship brought together almost 40 competitors from around 20 European countries to showcase dealer skills across a range of casino disciplines, including English roulette and blackjack.
Martire, who joined Casino de Monte-Carlo in 2022, secured third place overall after competing in the championship’s main events. Elena, a gaming employee since 2016, received the technical awards for Best Push Stacks and Best Chip Cutting, alongside side event titles for Best Chipper, Best Card Handler and Best Mathematician.
The latest achievements build on Monte-Carlo SBM’s recent success at the competition, having won the overall European Dealer Championship title in 2024 through Noémie Serra before being recognised as the Best Slot Machine Team in 2025.
Monte-Carlo SBM said the results reflect the quality of its internal gaming training programme, delivered through the Monte-Carlo SBM Academy. Established during 2014-15, the programme provides structured training across six premium table games, including blackjack, English roulette, European roulette, craps, Punto Banco and Ultimate Texas Hold’em Poker.
The Academy is led by Christophe Teissier, Director of Planning, Training and Gaming Evaluation, supported by Gaming Training & Evaluation Manager Alexis Schroeter and Gaming Training & Evaluation Coordinator Jean-René Manfredi. The programme focuses on passing gaming expertise between experienced dealers and new recruits as part of the group’s long-standing emphasis on professional excellence.
The awards follow another major industry recognition for Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, which was named Best Overall Casino 2026 at the European Casino Awards during ICE Barcelona earlier this year.
