MGM Northfield Park will temporarily close from today (April 20) to April 22 as the Ohio racino transitions to new ownership following its $546m sale announced last October. The deal transfers the property’s gaming operations, entertainment offerings and racetrack to a private equity fund managed by Clairvest Group, which will operate the venue under a 25-year lease with VICI Properties.
MGM said updated property information and details of a new rewards programme will be released shortly. The racino, formerly known as Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park, was acquired by MGM in 2018 for around $275m. Clairvest said the venue will join a broader portfolio of 36 gaming assets.
