Casino Baden-Baden dealer secures win for second year

For the third time in a row, croupiers from Baden-Württemberg secure the top places at the German Dealer Championship. Temin Joguncic from Casino Baden-Baden successfully defended his title in Berlin, followed by Robin Stepanek from Spielbank Stuttgart in second place. Both have qualified for the European Dealer Championship in June at Casino Baden-Baden.

The podium was completed by Joshua Schmidt from Spielbank Berlin in third place.

At the three-day competition in Berlin, the two Baden-Württemberg croupiers prevailed against 20 top-class competitors from a total of 11 German casino companies. In addition to prize money of 2,500 euros and 2,000 euros respectively, both bought the ticket for the European Dealer Championship (EDC), which will be held at Casino Baden-Baden from 8 to 10 June 2026. For the reigning German champion Joguncic, who already finished an impressive 4th place at European level last year, this means a prestigious home game.

The 27-year-old winner Temin Joguncic, who began his career nine years ago as a student assistant in Baden-Baden, said: “The competition was extremely strong this year. I’ve trained a lot and I’m overjoyed that the cup is returning to its regular place at Casino Baden-Baden. Now I’m really looking forward to the European Championships in my own house.”

Tobias Wald, Managing Director of the Baden-Württembergische Spielbanken, congratulated the winners from Baden-Baden and Stuttgart: “The fact that the two best croupiers in Germany are coming from our house for the third time in a row makes me extremely proud. This is a confirmation of the high level of our training. My respect goes to all 22 participants who took part in this competition and demonstrated their skills. We are now looking forward to welcoming the European elite to Baden-Baden in June.”
